FLOW: 1360 cfs in Glenwood Springs

WATER CONDITIONS: Clear and low

OVERALL RATING:  4 out 10

FOOD SOURCES PRESENT: Baetis, Midges, sculpins

THE LOW DOWN:  Fall is transitioning to winter and it's spectacular out there. Fall hatches are dying off but BWOs and midges are still in abundance. It's time for downsizing on everything from tippets to fly sizes. Watch the foam lines in the slower sections of the river, 

Streamer Junkies, it's time! We all love tying and fishing those giant articulated streamers, but try something small if you're not feeling the love.

No need to put on the river super early, let it warm up a bit and get those bugs moving around.

HATCHES: Baetis18-20, Midges 16-22

DRIES: CDC Transitional Midge 20-22, Griffiths Gnat 18-22, Sprout Midge 20-22, HOH Spent Midge 20-22, Hatching Midge 20-22.

HINTS: If the fish aren't eating deep, shallow up those nymph rigs and see if they're suspended.
