CLOSURES IN EFFECT AT GRIZZLY, NO NAME, AND CANYON CREEKS ON THE COLORADO RIVER.  PLEASE RESPECT SPAWNING TROUT.

FLOW: 1980 CFS in Glenwood Springs

WATER CONDITIONS: Green is good, brown isn't. Keep an eye out for spikes as we get spring rains.

OVERALL RATING:  7 out 10 

FOOD SOURCES PRESENT: Caddis (sporadic), BWOs, Winter Stones, Midges

THE LOW DOWN: The Colorado always brings us the first real signs of spring due to the lower elevation. Baetis (BWOs) have begun their springtime emergence, and we've even seen an oddball caddis or two out there.

Keep an eye on the weather, the Colorado can blow out at a moment's notice with spring rains. Streamer action has been hot out there!

HATCHES: Caddis 14-18 (sporadic so far) BWOs 18-22, Winter Stones 16-18, Midges 16-22

NYMPHS: Spanish Perdigon 18, TNT Jigged BWO Nymph 18-20, BLMs 18-20, Tung Bead Baetis 18-20, Roy's Biot Baetis Emerger18-20, RS2s 20, Polywing Emerger 18-20, Imposters 20-22, Freestone Emerger 20, Roy's Biot Midge Emerger 20-22 

STREAMERS: Double Dirty Hippy sz 2, Hansen's Meal Ticket sz 4, Home Invader sz 2, Conehead Zuddler 4-8, Devourer of Souls sz 4, Galloup's Dungeon sz 2

HINTS: Keep an eye on overnight temps/rain and hope for some warmer and cloudy days soon. The fish are piled up deep for the most part!
