CLOSURES IN EFFECT AT GRIZZLY, NO NAME, AND CANYON CREEKS ON THE COLORADO RIVER. PLEASE RESPECT SPAWNING TROUT.
FLOW: 3310 CFS in Glenwood Springs
WATER CONDITIONS: Green is good, brown isn't. Keep an eye out for spikes as we get spring rains and warming temperatures
OVERALL RATING: 7 out 10 if clean, 1 out of 10 if blown out
FOOD SOURCES PRESENT: Caddis, BWOs, Winter Stones, Midges
THE LOW DOWN: The Colorado always brings us the first real signs of spring due to the lower elevation. Baetis (BWOs) have begun their springtime emergence, and we've already experienced a few heavy caddis hatches.
Keep an eye on the weather, the Colorado can blow out at a moment's notice with spring rains. Streamer action has been hot out there!
