FLOW: 2260 cfs in Glenwood Springs

WATER CONDITIONS: Starting to clean up and drop nicely

OVERALL RATING:  7 out 10

FOOD SOURCES PRESENT: Baetis, Midges, Yellow Sallies, PMDs, caddis, sculpins

THE LOW DOWN: The Colorado River is cleaning up quick, and the main event right now is the Trico hatch and Rusty Spinner fall.

Yellow Sallies, Caddis, PMDs and Golden Stones are out there, and fish are starting to get picky and relate to Tricos and Rusty Spinners more than the bigger bugs.. Nymphing has been good out there, think tiny and shiny.

The streamer bite is hit or miss, best on the windy and cloudy days.

HINTS: If the fish aren't eating deep, shallow up those nymph rigs and see if they're suspended.
