The Crystal, like the Roaring Fork and Colorado, could be much more swift and off-color right now than it actually is. The zones above Redstone are lower and clearer, and the bugs are all ahead of schedule.

The higher you go, the prettier it gets, the lower the flow, and the less fishermen you'll see. The Crystal River is considered the local's stash, especially for those that abhor seeing other anglers.
